A bill for an act
relating to transportation; providing for a Rum River Dam pedestrian bridge;
transferring money to the active transportation account; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin The commissioner of transportation must transfer $10,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 from
the general fund to the active transportation account in the special revenue fund under
Minnesota Statutes, section 174.38.

Sec. 2. new text begin APPROPRIATION; RUM RIVER DAM PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE.

new text begin $10,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the active transportation account
in the special revenue fund to the commissioner of transportation for the active transportation
program under Minnesota Statutes, section 174.38, to provide one or more grants to the city
of Anoka for design, engineering, environmental analysis, land acquisition, and construction
of a pedestrian bridge over the Rum River Dam in the city of Anoka in association with
Rum River Dam improvements. This appropriation is available until June 30, 2029.
