A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the Swank Eatery in the
city of Minneapolis.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; SWANK EATERY.

new text begin $2,500,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to Wilson's Image Holding LLC, to
design, construct, furnish, and equip capital improvements necessary for renovation of an
existing commercial building to serve as a food hall offering a brewery and taproom,
restaurants, and dining space, on West Broadway in North Minneapolis. This appropriation
includes money for demolition, environmental cleanup and abatement, and other
improvements necessary to ensure the space is safe, modern, and functional. This
appropriation is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota
Statutes, section 16A.642.
