A bill for an act
relating to public safety; appropriating money for public safety costs related to the
Minnesota Sex Offender Program facility at Moose Lake.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

$250,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $250,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of public safety for a grant to Carlton County to be used
for law enforcement, prosecution, and litigation expenses arising from the actions of clients
at the Minnesota Sex Offender Program facility at Moose Lake.
