A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for downtown lakeshore
improvements in the city of Wayzata; authorizing the sale and issuance of state
bonds.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $14,915,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the city
of Wayzata to acquire real property or interests in real property for, and to design, construct,
furnish, and equip the final phase of Wayzata's downtown lakefront restoration, including
construction of an eco park, restoration and preservation of the historic Section Foreman
House and Wayzata Depot site, restoration of lake edge on Lake Minnetonka, improvements
to the Wayzata Beach and Klapprich Park, as well as design for new public safety facilities
that will directly serve the needs of the downtown lakefront and community park
improvements. This appropriation is in addition to the appropriation for a portion of this
project in Laws 2020, Fifth Special Session chapter 3, article 1, section 21, subdivision 45.

new text begin To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond
proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of
the state in an amount up to $14,915,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect
prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota
Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
