A bill for an act
 relating to health; appropriating money for housing with support for persons with
serious mental illness.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATIONS; HOUSING WITH SUPPORT FOR PERSONS
WITH SERIOUS MENTAL ILLNESS.

new text begin $4,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $4,500,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of human services to provide adult mental health
grants under Minnesota Statutes, section 245.992, to support increased availability of housing
options with supports for persons with serious mental illness. This appropriation is added
to the base.
