relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a multipurpose programming
and administrative facility for nonprofit organizations.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; GUNS DOWN LOVE UP.

new text begin $3,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to Guns Down Love Up, a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization, to acquire an existing facility located in Hennepin County or Ramsey
County to provide programming and administrative space for nonprofit organizations. If a
suitable existing facility cannot be acquired, this appropriation may be used to acquire
property and to predesign, design, construct, furnish, and equip a new facility located in
Hennepin County or Ramsey County. This appropriation is available until the project is
completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
