A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; appropriating money for greater Minnesota transit
operating assistance.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; GREATER MINNESOTA TRANSIT.

new text begin $7,500,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of transportation for operating assistance for greater Minnesota transit systems under
Minnesota Statutes, section 174.24. This appropriation must be used as replacement funding
when the operating assistance share paid from local sources is smaller than the maximum
percentages under Minnesota Statutes, section 174.24, subdivision 3b. This is a onetime
appropriation and is available until June 30, 2027.
