A bill for an act
 relating to real estate appraisers; establishing a disciplinary sanction matrix;
proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 82B.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin When establishing a sanction for an appraiser, the commissioner must rely on the current
version of the Voluntary Disciplinary Sanction Matrix published by the Appraisal Foundation.
The commissioner may deviate from the Voluntary Disciplinary Sanction Matrix on a
case-by-case basis when establishing a sanction if the commissioner determines a reasonable
mitigating circumstance that supports the deviation exists.
