A bill for an act
 relating to solid waste; restricting disposal of wind and solar energy infrastructure;
proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 115A.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin [115A.9563] WIND AND SOLAR ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE
DISPOSAL; PROHIBITION.

new text begin (a) For the purposes of this section, "wind and solar energy infrastructure" means:
 new text end

new text begin (1) solar photovoltaic modules or system installation components; or
 new text end

new text begin (2) wind energy conversion systems or wind energy conversion system components.
 new text end

new text begin (b) No person may place wind and solar energy infrastructure:
 new text end

new text begin (1) in mixed municipal solid waste;
 new text end

new text begin (2) in a solid waste processing or disposal facility that is not a recycling facility; or
 new text end

new text begin (3) in or on the land.

new text begin (c) This section may be enforced under sections 115.071 and 116.072.
