relating to veterans; appropriating money for the city of Rice Lake veterans
memorial.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; RICE LAKE VETERANS MEMORIAL.

new text begin $100,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of veterans affairs for a grant to the city of Rice Lake to design and construct a memorial
to those who have served in the military of the United States of America and those who
have died in the line of duty. At least an equal amount from nonstate sources must be secured
to complete the project. This appropriation is onetime and is available until completed or
abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
