A bill for an act
relating to mergers; prohibiting the Sanford Health and Fairview Health Services
merger unless certain transfers occur.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin SANFORD HEALTH AND FAIRVIEW HEALTH SERVICES MERGER.

new text begin Any merger between Sanford Health and Fairview Health Services shall not be finalized
until the ownership of Fairview's teaching hospital located at the University of Minnesota
and the Masonic Children's Hospital, clinic, and surgery center are transferred to the
University of Minnesota at no cost to the University of Minnesota.
