A bill for an act
relating to workforce development; appropriating money for New American
workforce training.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

$550,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $550,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from the
workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development
for a grant to the International Institute of Minnesota. Grant funds must be used for workforce
training for New Americans in industries in need of trained workforce. These are onetime
appropriations.
