A bill for an act
relating to transportation; appropriating money for an interchange project on
Interstate Highway 94 and Lake Burgen rest area in Alexandria.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 94 AND LAKE BURGEN REST AREA
INTERCHANGE; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $1,500,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of transportation for preliminary engineering for an interchange project on Interstate Highway
94 and the Lake Burgen rest area in Alexandria. This is a onetime appropriation and is
available until the funds are expended. Any unused funds cancel to the general fund as
provided under Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.28.
