A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a grant to the Latino
Economic Development Center for their building in St. Paul.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin LATINO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CENTER; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $5,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the Latino Economic Development
Center for replacement of mechanical systems, construction or renovation of interior spaces,
and other improvements of a capital nature to their building that will operate as a small
business incubator on Payne Avenue and serve other community uses. This appropriation
is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes,
section 16A.642.
