A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for an expansion of the Lewis
& Clark Regional Water System.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; LEWIS & CLARK REGIONAL WATER SYSTEM
EXPANSION PROJECT.

$22,000,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the Public
Facilities Authority for a grant to the Lewis & Clark Joint Powers Board to construct an
expansion of the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System and pay for associated
expansion-related costs for users of the system in Minnesota. This appropriation is not
available until the Lewis & Clark Joint Powers Board has reimbursed the state for the full
amount of grant proceeds disbursed under the grant agreement coded
MPFA-14-0093-R-FY15. This appropriation does not require a nonstate contribution. This
appropriation is onetime and is available until June 30, 2030.
