relating to natural resources; requiring an evaluation and report on rough fish.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin EVALUATION OF ROUGH FISH DESIGNATIONS; REPORT.

new text begin The commissioner of natural resources must evaluate fish designated as rough fish in
the state to determine if fish species are properly designated and if there are rough fish
species that are in need of additional protection through regulations. The commissioner
must submit a report with the results of the evaluation and any recommendations to the
chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees and divisions with
jurisdiction over the environment and natural resources by October 31, 2022.
