relating to agriculture; appropriating money for a farmer outreach coordinator.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; FARMER OUTREACH COORDINATOR.

$150,000 in fiscal year 2022 and $150,000 in fiscal year 2023 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of agriculture to hire a full-time emerging farmer outreach
coordinator. The emerging farmer outreach coordinator shall connect ethnic minority and
immigrant farmers to farming opportunities and farming programs throughout the state.
