relating to local governments; appropriating money for a grant to a Tribal
government.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; TRIBAL GRANT.

new text begin $250,000 in fiscal year 2021, $250,000 in fiscal year 2022, and $250,000 in fiscal year
2023 are appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of revenue for a grant that
shall be paid to the White Earth Band of Ojibwe to reimburse the Tribe for human services
transfer start-up costs. The commissioner shall make the first payment on October 1, 2021.
