relating to arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money for grants to educate
about Hmong Minnesotan culture and history.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; HMONG CULTURE AND HISTORY.

new text begin $360,000 in fiscal year 2022 and $360,000 in fiscal year 2023 are appropriated from the
arts and cultural heritage fund to the board of directors of the Minnesota Humanities Center
for grants for museum-related programming and educational efforts to teach the public
about the history and cultural heritage of Hmong Minnesotans. Of this amount:

new text begin (1) $100,000 each year is for a grant to the Hmong Cultural Center Museum;

new text begin (2) $100,000 each year is for a grant to the Hmong Museum;

new text begin (3) $80,000 each year is for a grant to SGU Veterans and Families of USA, Inc.; and

new text begin (4) $80,000 each year is for a grant to the DIAL Group.
