A bill for an act
relating to parks and trails; appropriating money to acquire land for trail system
along Elm Creek Greenway Corridor in Champlin.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin ELM CREEK GREENWAY CORRIDOR; CITY OF CHAMPLIN;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $1,250,000 in fiscal year 2022 is appropriated from the parks and trails fund to the
Metropolitan Council for a grant to the city of Champlin to acquire land along the Elm
Creek Greenway Corridor for a trail system and for trail connections, including a bridge
over Elm Creek, to connect the trail to Elm Creek Park Reserve. This is a onetime
appropriation and is available until June 30, 2023.
