relating to the legislature; reducing legislator salaries.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin LEGISLATOR SALARIES; MANDATORY CUT.

Notwithstanding any recommendation made by the Compensation Council under
Minnesota Statutes, section 15A.082, subdivision 3, the salaries set for members of the
house of representatives and the senate for fiscal years 2022 and 2023 must be reduced by
ten percent from the salary amounts set for fiscal years 2020 and 2021.
