relating to local government aid; eliminating aid payments when a city of the first
class fails to provide adequate police protection; proposing coding for new law in
Minnesota Statutes, chapter 477A.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

[477A.0176] AID ELIMINATION FOR INADEQUATE POLICE
PROTECTION.

Beginning July 1, 2020, aid payments under sections 477A.011 to 477A.03 are reduced
to zero for any calendar year in which a city of the first class abolishes, eliminates funding
for, or does not provide adequate police protection of its citizenry.
