A bill for an act
 relating to natural resources; requiring issuing public waters work permit for certain
commercial floating platforms used for dining; amending Minnesota Statutes 2018,
section 103G.315, subdivision 3.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 103G.315, subdivision 3, is amended to read:


Subd. 3.

Granting permit.

If the commissioner concludes that the plans of the applicant
are reasonable, practical, and will adequately protect public safety and promote the public
welfare, the commissioner shall grant the permit.new text begin If the application is for a floating platform
that will be used for commercial dining and that will not exceed 1,100 square feet when
measured separately from the access dock, the commissioner must grant the permit.
