relating to human services; appropriating money for a grant to Village Arms.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; VILLAGE ARMS.

new text begin $300,000 in fiscal year 2020 and $300,000 in fiscal year 2021 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of human services for a grant to Village Arms for services
to address racial disparities in child welfare outcomes. Grant money may be used for staffing,
administrative costs, and other program costs related to the following services:

new text begin (1) prepermanency and postpermanency advocacy;

new text begin (2) assisting parents with case plan completion;
new text end

new text begin (3) parent coaching and education;
new text end

new text begin (4) supervised visitation;
new text end

new text begin (5) in-home visits; and
new text end

new text begin (6) family support services.
