A bill for an act
relating to housing; appropriating money for a housing mediation eviction
prevention program.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $1,820,000 in fiscal year 2020 is transferred from the general fund to the commissioner
of housing finance for deposit in the housing development fund for a grant to Community
Mediation Minnesota. The grant must be used to increase its capacity to provide housing
mediation services in the communities it currently serves, increase the availability of
mediation services at each mediation center and throughout the state, and to make housing
mediation services more accessible to culturally diverse populations. This is a onetime
appropriation.
