A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; appropriating money to address wildlife disease.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin WILDLIFE DISEASE MANAGEMENT; CHRONIC WASTING DISEASE;
APPROPRIATIONS.

new text begin $2,410,000 in fiscal year 2020 and $2,160,000 in fiscal year 2021 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of natural resources for wildlife disease surveillance
and emergency response. Of this amount, $350,000 in fiscal year 2020 and $700,000 in
fiscal year 2021 are for enforcement response to escaped animals from cervidae farms. This
is a onetime appropriation.
