A bill for an act
relating to public safety; appropriating money for a grant to St. Paul to develop
patrol stewards.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin ST. PAUL; CITIZEN PATROL GROUPS.

new text begin $100,000 in fiscal year 2020 and $100,000 in fiscal year 2021 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of public safety for a grant to St. Paul. The grant shall be
used for the St. Paul Parks and Recreation Department to develop patrol stewards from
communities of color in concentrated areas of poverty in St. Paul.
