A bill for an act
relating to transportation; appropriating money for runway improvements at
Rochester International Airport.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; ROCHESTER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

new text begin $7,000,000 in fiscal year 2020 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of transportation for a grant to the city of Rochester for planning; environmental planning,
permitting, and mitigation; land acquisition; design; construction; and administration for
the reconstruction, extension, and instrument approach improvements of Runway 2/20 at
the Rochester International Airport. This appropriation is available when the commissioner
of management and budget determines that sufficient resources have been committed to
complete the project, as required by Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.502. This is a onetime
appropriation and is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to
Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
