A bill for an act
relating to municipal liquor stores; prohibiting inclusion of long-term pension
benefit obligations in municipal liquor store statement of operations; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 471.6985, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 471.6985, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin Notwithstanding the requirements of subdivision 1, a statement
of operations for a municipal liquor store shall not include long-term obligations for pension
benefits, as required by Statement 68 of the Governmental Accounting Standards Board.
