A bill for an act
relating to health; allowing state contractor licensee to perform radon mitigation
work; amending Minnesota Statutes 2016, sections 144.4961, by adding a
subdivision; 326B.805, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 144.4961, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin A person with a Minnesota state contractor's license
under section 326B.805 may perform radon mitigation work in new and preexisting homes
without having a Minnesota radon license.

Sec. 2.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 326B.805, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin Licensee; radon mitigation. new text end

new text begin A licensee under this section may perform radon
mitigation work in new and preexisting homes without having a Minnesota radon license.
