A bill for an act
 relating to military veterans; appropriating money for a grant for the Veterans'
Voices program.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; VETERANS' VOICES PROGRAM.

new text begin $95,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2017 from the general fund to the commissioner
of veterans affairs for a grant to the Minnesota Humanities Center:

new text begin (1) to expand education efforts around the Veterans' Voices program; and
 new text end

new text begin (2) to work with veterans to educate and engage the community regarding veterans'
contributions, knowledge, skills, and experiences through the Veterans' Voices program.
