A bill for an act
relating to telecommunications; broadband; appropriating money for broadband
operational support, program delivery, availability mapping, and data collection.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin BROADBAND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT; MAPPING AND DATA
COLLECTION; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin (a) $1,900,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2016 from the general fund to the
Office of Broadband Development for operational support and program delivery of the
responsibilities under Minnesota Statutes, sections 116J.39 to 116J.396. This is a onetime
appropriation and is available until expended.

new text begin (b) $1,400,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2016 from the general fund to the Office
of Broadband Development to perform statewide broadband availability mapping and data
collection. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until expended.
