for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 16A.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.

[16A.991] PROHIBITION OF LOANS AND GRANTS TO POLITICAL
ENTITIES.

(a) Except where explicitly authorized by law, no grant or loan of state funds may
be made by a state agency to any entity a majority of whose revenue is derived from a
political committee, political fund, principal campaign committee, or political party unit,
as defined in section 10A.01.

(b) An entity applying for a grant or loan of state funds must certify in the application
that it is in compliance with the requirements of paragraph (a).
