A bill for an act
 relating to natural resources; appropriating money for block grants to soil and
water conservation districts.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT BLOCK GRANTS.

new text begin $50,000,000 in fiscal year 2016 is appropriated from the clean water fund to
the Board of Water and Soil Resources for block grants to soil and water conservation
districts that supplement the grants received by the districts for general purposes, nonpoint
engineering, and implementation of the reinvest in Minnesota reserve program in order to
accelerate the protection, enhancement, and restoration of water quality in lakes, rivers,
and streams and to protect groundwater from degradation.
