A bill for an act
relating to liquor; allowing importation of bulk spirits; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2012, sections 340A.101, by adding a subdivision; 340A.315, by adding
a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 340A.101, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin Bulk distilled spirits. new text end

new text begin "Bulk distilled spirits" means distilled spirits in a
container having a capacity in excess of one gallon.

Sec. 2.

Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 340A.315, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin Bulk distilled spirits. new text end

new text begin Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary,
if no wholesaler is able to provide distilled spirits in bulk form, a farm winery may
purchase distilled spirits in bulk form for purposes allowed under this section from any
available source.
