meetings; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 97A.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

[97A.17] 1837 TREATY RIGHTS; MEETING REQUIREMENTS.

The Department of Natural Resources must first meet with the Mille Lacs Fishery
Input Group regarding 1837 treaty rights before meeting with Ojibwe bands or the Great
Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission. A meeting under this paragraph is subject to
the open meeting requirements of chapter 13D.
