A bill for an act
 relating to building codes; allowing Mille Lacs County to rescind adoption of the
State Building Code.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin BUILDING CODE OPT OUT; MILLE LACS COUNTY.

new text begin Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, Mille Lacs County may by ordinance
rescind its adoption of the State Building Code. The county may by ordinance adopt a
municipal building code to be enforced in and administered by the county.
