Relating to public safety; requiring the bureau of criminal apprehension (BCA) to receive finger and thumbprints by electronic entry within 24 hours of inmate receipt from another state and requiring electronic conversion for searchable database use; requiring the BCA to convert criminal justice agency data into a bureau managed or federal searchable database within 72 hours; requiring criminal justice agencies with incident knowledge resulting in firearm possession disqualification to electronically enter information into the national instant criminal background check system within 72 hours; requiring prisoner release data to be electronically entered within 24 hours and requiring data conversion in 72 hours; requiring law enforcement agencies to electronically enter data within 24 hours; requiring prior civil commitment and felony convictions to be entered and converted; requiring a criminal and juvenile justice information policy group report to the legislature by a certain date
