A bill for an act
relating to courts; prohibiting exclusion from jury service on the basis of marital
status or sexual orientation; amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 593.32,
subdivision 1.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 593.32, subdivision 1, is amended to read:
Subdivision 1.
Prohibition.
A citizen shall not be excluded from jury service in
this state on account of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, economic status, new text begin marital
status, sexual orientation, new text end or a physical or sensory disability.
