ARTICLE 1 - UNIFORM COLLATERAL CONSEQUENCES OF CONVICTION ACT
Enacting the Uniform Collateral Consequences of Conviction Act; defining certain terms; limiting the scope; providing for the revisor of statutes to provide for the identification, collection, and publication of laws regarding collateral consequences; providing for notice of collateral consequences in pretrial proceeding and at guilty plea, additional legal consequences, and at sentencing upon release; authorization required for collateral sanction; prescribing a process regarding reaching a decision to disqualify; specifying the effects of conviction by another state or the United States and relieved or pardoned convictions; allowing individuals convicted of an offense to petition for an order of limited relief; allowing individuals convicted of an offense to petition for a certificate of restoration of rights; specifying that collateral sanctions are not subject to an order of limited relief or certificate of restoration of rights; providing for the effect of conviction by another state or the United States; providing for an order of limited relief; providing for a certificate of restoration of rights; providing for collateral sanctions not subject to order of limited relief or certificate of restoration of rights; providing for issuance, modification, or revocation of an order of limited relief or certificate of restoration of rights; providing for reliance on order or certificate as evidence of due care; providing for victim rights; providing for the uniformity of the application and construction; specifying certain savings and transitional provisions; requiring a change to the uniform traffic ticket and the statewide standard citation; appropriating money to the office of administrative hearings to fulfill duties
ARTICLE 2 - CONFORMING AMENDMENTS
Conforming and clarifying other laws regarding collateral consequences and the rehabilitation of criminal offenders with the uniform act; repealing current provisions relating to collateral sanctions
