A bill for an act
 relating to state government; providing that laws governing purchasing from
small businesses and targeted group businesses apply to the Minnesota State
Colleges and Universities; amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 16C.16,
subdivision 12.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 16C.16, subdivision 12, is amended to read:


Subd. 12.

Applicability.

new text begin This section applies to the Minnesota State Colleges
and Universities. new text end This section does not apply to construction contracts or contracts for
professional or technical services under section 16C.08 that are financed in whole or in
part with federal funds and that are subject to federal disadvantaged business enterprise
regulations.
