A bill for an act
relating to higher education; modifying definition of contingent account owner
for purposes of the college savings plan; amending Minnesota Statutes 2010,
section 136G.03, subdivision 7.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 136G.03, subdivision 7, is amended to
read:
Subd. 7.
Contingent account owner.
"Contingent account owner" means the
deleted text begin individualdeleted text end new text begin personnew text end designated as the account owner, either in the participation agreement or
pursuant to a separate Minnesota college savings plan form, in the event of the death of
the account owner.
