A bill for an act
 relating to agriculture; reducing the operating budget for the Department of
Agriculture.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin AGENCY OPERATING BUDGET REDUCTIONS.

new text begin ($1,016,000) in fiscal year 2012 and ($1,016,000) in fiscal year 2013 are reductions
to the base general fund operations budget for the Department of Agriculture. The
commissioner of agriculture shall consolidate related divisions and activities and realize
additional cost savings to meet this requirement.
