relating to public safety; requiring sheriffs to report injuries to jailers to the
Bureau of Criminal Apprehension; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota
Statutes, chapter 641.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.

[641.055] JAILER INJURIES; REPORT TO BUREAU OF CRIMINAL
APPREHENSION.

A sheriff shall furnish to the division of criminal statistics in the Bureau of Criminal
Apprehension a report for each incident that results in a job-related injury to a jailer
employed by the sheriff.
