1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.8new text begin The Department of Health shall study the prevalence and prevention of autism in new text end
1.9new text begin Somali communities in Minnesota. They shall review and analyze the magnitude and new text end
1.10new text begin incidence of autism-related health disparities according to age, location, potential or known new text end
1.11new text begin toxic environmental exposures, housing conditions, poverty, nutritional factors, health new text end
1.12new text begin care access including prescribed medical treatments, the occupational and residential new text end
1.13new text begin history of the children's parents, and the children's current residence. The Department of new text end
1.14new text begin Health shall report results of their analysis and recommendations to the Public Health and new text end
1.15new text begin Health and Human Services Committee chairs in the house of representatives and senate.new text end

1.17new text begin The commissioner of human services shall develop an informational notice for new text end
1.18new text begin parents of children with autism who are enrolled in medical assistance or MinnesotaCare new text end
1.19new text begin to inform them that their children may qualify to receive services on a fee-for-service basis new text end
