Relating to economic development

ARTICLE 1 - ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT APPROPRIATIONS

Appropriating money and reducing appropriations to the department of employment and economic development (DEED), the public facilities authority, explore Minnesota tourism, the housing finance agency (HFA), the department of labor and industry, the bureau of mediation services, the Minnesota historical society, the board of the arts, the Minnesota humanities center, public broadcasting, the board of accountancy, the board of architecture, engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture, geoscience and interior design, the board of cosmetologist examiners, the board of barber examiners and the combative sports commission; providing for certain fund transfers

ARTICLE 2 - GRANT PROGRAM MERGER

Merging the greater Minnesota business development public infrastructure and bioscience business development public infrastructure grant programs; defining certain terms; instructing the commissioner of employment and economic development (DEED) to develop a grant application review process; specifying certain set asides; establishing a maximum grant amount; providing for reimbursement of program costs; requiring the cancellation of and return of grant money under certain conditions

ARTICLE 3 - LICENSE FEES

Modifying certain provisions and imposing certain fees relating to the licensing of electrical work, plumbing or water conditioning work, high pressure piping work, residential building work, residential remodeling work, residential roofing work, manufactured house installment work and those who serve as building officials and operate boilers and boats
