A bill for an act
relating to motor carriers; providing for inspections of vehicles and tanks used
to transport anhydrous ammonia; amending Minnesota Statutes 2008, section
221.037, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 221.037, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

subdivision 2, a vehicle, cargo tank, or other container used to transport anhydrous
ammonia may not be placed out of service unless the inspection under this section takes
place at a weigh station or on a highway right-of-way.
