1.1A bill for an act 1.2relating to state government; providing for certain funds established in 1.3the constitution to pay for audit costs incurred by the legislative auditor; 1.4appropriating money;proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, 1.5chapter 3. 1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.7    Section 1. new text begin [3.9715] PAYMENT FROM HERITAGE FUNDS FOR AUDIT COSTS. new text end 1.8 new text begin The outdoor heritage fund, the clean water fund, the parks and trails fund, and the new text end 1.9 new text begin arts and cultural heritage fund, established in the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, new text end 1.10 new text begin section 15, must each pay the legislative auditor for costs incurred by the legislative new text end 1.11 new text begin auditor to examine financial activities related to each fund. The legislative auditor shall new text end 1.12 new text begin provide cost data to the commissioner of management and budget to determine the amount new text end 1.13 new text begin of the required payments. The amount required to make these payments is appropriated new text end 1.14 new text begin from each fund for payments to the legislative auditor under this section.
