Modifying the uniform probate code; modifying certain child protection costs of care requirements relating to trial home visits; expanding the interested person definition, defining professional guardian or conservator; requiring the supreme court to establish a statewide registration system for guardians and conservators; providing a bill of rights for wards and protected persons; requiring certain disclosures prior to hearing (preliminaries); requiring proposed guardians to file informational statements with court; allowing professional guardians and conservators as court appointed and allowing persons related by blood, adoption or marriage; requiring rights to termination notices to be sent to interested persons and allowing request for order modification; prohibiting guardian revocation of health care directive agent appointment; requiring guardian reports be provided to wards and interested persons and allowing challenges and allowing court orders in best interests of wards; requiring certain proposed counsel disclosures, conservator information statements court filings and bond posting; allowing protected or interested person of record to challenge account statements
