1.1A bill for an act 1.2relating to transportation; requiring Metropolitan Council to provide free regular 1.3route transit for disabled veterans;amending Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 1.4473.408, by adding a subdivision. 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.6    Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 473.408, is amended by adding a 1.7subdivision to read: 1.8     new text begin Subd. 10. new text end new text begin Transit service for disabled veterans. new text end new text begin (a) On and after the effective new text end 1.9 new text begin date of this section, the council shall provide regular route transit, as defined in section new text end 1.10 new text begin 473.385, subdivision 1, free of charge for veterans, as defined in section 197.447, certified new text end 1.11 new text begin as disabled.
